I am currently en route to Los Angeles for a four day weekend getaway and I am SO excited! Today I am sharing my absolutely amazing stay at Loews Ventana in Tucson. My mom and I went to Tucson last weekend and had such a fun girls weekend! We were in total relaxation mode and enjoyed this amazing resort together. This resort is the ultimate desert oasis and backs right up to beautiful mountains and an 80-foot waterfall. I love the soft colors in the rooms and how the colors in the room compliment the desert colors outside.
After checking in, we went straight to the pool where it was ninety degrees! We got prickly pear margaritas and fish tacos, which were so amazing! The fish was so fresh and the ultimate pool dish.
Before heading to dinner, we walked around the property and enjoyed the wonderful views of Catalina Foothills and Tucson. Since the resort sits higher than the city, we could see for miles. The property also has a lookout tour to enhance your site seeing experience.
We went to the lounge in the lobby and watched football and baseball while we ate dinner. We had light appetizers for dinner since we had a big lunch by the pool and also got house margaritas. We shared the meat and cheese board and wings, both were delicious!
On Sunday morning we woke up and went to the pool to enjoy more sun. It’s already pretty chilly in Flagstaff so we were very excited to enjoy the weekend by the pool. We then came back to the room and relaxed before we started getting ready for brunch. PS: the robes at Loews are SO comfy, I had a difficult leaving the one I wore behind!
We then got ready for the Blues, Brews, & BBQ brunch and the launch of Flavor Tucson at Loews, which was voted one of America’s Top 100 Brunches by OpenTable.
The brunch had a large seafood spread when you first walked in and everything was so fresh and delicious. Dragood Brewery was also at the brunch, along with bottomless mimosas.
I then made my way to the main course and filled my plate up. I got the salmon, bacon-wrapped hot dog, the BEST mac & cheese I have ever had, and grilled veggies. Everything was so good, I wanted to just keep eating. I loved all of the grilled veggies and fruit, the grill added the perfect taste to everything I ate.
After I was already beyond full, I of course had to make my way over to the deserts. I got the orange creme brulee, pumpkin mousse, a chocolate covered strawberry, chocolate truffle, and a churro dipped in fondue. The deserts were amazing (of course) and the spread was so beautiful!
My stay at Loews Ventana Canyon exceeded my expectations in every single way. To top off our amazing stay, as we were carrying our bags to the car, two male employees saw us struggling to carry all of our stuff and dropped what they were doing to help us carry our bags to the car. We tried tipping them and they wouldn’t take the money, truly amazing customer service! I will definitely be taking a trip back to Loews in the near future and can’t wait to visit again!
