Denver Trip

Hello!

I am back with another blog post and can’t wait to share a recap of our quick trip to Denver with you all. We went in May to celebrate one of my college best friend’s wedding. Although it was a short trip, it was action packed and SO much fun!

Day one:

We actually started our trip from LA. We flew to LA on Saturday morning to help decorate my sister in law’s bridal shower. We attended the beautiful lemon-themed bridal shower on Sunday and then took off from Burbank to Denver. We didn’t land in Denver until 10 pm and then had to sit on the tarmac for over an hour because there were no gates available when we landed…. sigh. We finally got off the plane, got our rental car, then headed to the hotel! We stayed at The Maven in Downtown Denver and it was SO cute! I loved the decor and we had a room with a view of Coors Field, the Dairy Block, and the Downtown Denver skyline. We were so exhausted after the bridal shower and traveling so we went straight to sleep after checking in.

Day two:

Like I previously mentioned, we had an incredible view of the city from our balcony so I took full advantage of it and drank my coffee from the balcony and watched it rain over the city. We then got ready and met up with friends for brunch and went to The Pig & The Sprout for brunch. It was in walking distance (wouldn’t recommend during the rain… we did it anyways) from our hotel. The food and drinks were amazing, I highly recommend going during your next Denver trip! I of course got mimosas and coffee and got the breakfast burrito as my meal – it was delicious! I knew I needed a filling meal for our weekend shenanigans and it definitely did the trick.

After brunch, we made our way through Downtown Denver and did some bar hopping! Our next stop was Happy Camper for another drink and this place might be one of my all time favorite bars! I love the indoor/outdoor concept, along with the various seating areas throughout the space. The atmosphere was amazing and I absolutely loved the fun decor. I got an aperol spritz and my drink was delicious. We spent a bit of time hanging out at the bar before making our way to the next stop. Our next stop was to Recess Beer Garden, which is another fun spot in Downtown Denver! It is also in walking distance to Happy Camper, which was nice to just hop from bar to bar. I got another aperol spritz and it definitely wasn’t as good as the one at Happy Camper, but I still enjoyed it. It is definitely more of a beer spot, hence the name, so I wish I had gotten a local draft beer instead. We then made our way back to The Maven to get ready for our friends wedding!

After getting ready, we made our way to The Manor House, which is located in Littleton (30ish minute drive from Downtown Denver) for our friends wedding! The venue was absolutely stunning and you could see Downtown Denver from their ceremony spot. It was so fun to see college friends and celebrate our friends marriage!
